Following are a few directories and search engines that list Australian websites. Some of them offer free listings, and some offer free as well as paid listings. Depending on the site, a paid listing can be more beneficial, but certainly a free listing is better than nothing. Paid listings can be expensive (for example, a listing in the Yahoo! directory costs about $US300), but can do wonders for your off site optimisation.

If you choose one or more paid listings, make sure that you will get value from the directory. We recommend if you only do ONE paid listing, consider the Yahoo! directory, but ensure you add yourself to the correct category as well as your entry details match your website.
